A full-time School Psychologist position is available in the Chattanooga, TN area, serving K-5 students within a dynamic K-12 school district. This contract role offers the opportunity to support multiple schools with a caseload focused on early elementary students.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for K-5 students
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Create and implement behavior intervention plans tailored to student needs
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and parents
- Manage a caseload that may involve minor travel between assigned schools within the district
Qualifications And Experience
- Active Tennessee Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist is required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5) preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and behavior intervention strategies
- Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week); part-time applicants will not be considered
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support multidisciplinary teams
Location and Schedule:
- Position is onsite only; no virtual or hybrid options available
- Employment dates: ASAP start with contract through May 21, 2026
- Assignment within schools in the greater Chattanooga area; travel between schools expected
